Respite Care is a method of support or relief for those caring for an infirmed adult at home.
Respite Care at Bergen Regional Medical Center welcomes your loved one for a short term stay as a guest in our Long Term Care Division. We will provide tender loving care to your loved one and give you a chance to take care of personal business, go on vacation, or just relax and rejuvenate, so you may then return with a brighter outlook and renewed energy. We believe that each caregiver deserves this break, and so does the person for whom he or she cares.
Our length of stay is flexible to accommodate your needs. Licensed nurses and certified nursing attendants will provide care 24 hours a day.
Your loved one will be the temporary guest of the staff on the ninth floor of Building Eight, one of our beautiful, newly renovated units in the Long Term Care Floors. In our Day/Dining/Activity room, our guests enjoy socialization, activities and meals in a bright, airy and cheerful atmosphere. Breathtaking views of the pine trees and rolling lawns of the hospital grounds can be enjoyed from practically every room. Guests are invited to stroll the lawns and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine.
We are located at 230 East Ridgewood Avenue in Paramus, New Jersey, in suburban Bergen County. Because it is a multi-service health care facility, you are assured a safe and secure environment that provides quality services to your loved ones.
Guest reservations, information regarding costs, and a tour may be arranged by contacting the Admissions Office at 201.967.4202 or 201.967.4073.
