Message from the President

Welcome to Bergen Regional Medical Center, the largest Acute Health Care Facility in New Jersey. Noted for our broad scope of clinical services within our three major service areas of care, we provide outstanding Acute and Ambulatory Care, Acute Behavioral Health Services and Long Term Care. Our goal is to ensure quality outcomes in all of our areas of care.

Education and research are important to us as we maintain excellence and best in class. We are affiliated with a several schools and colleges for medicine, nursing and allied health programs, in addition to our own highly regarded Psychiatric Residency program and Clinical Research Department.

Accredited by the Council for Graduate Medical Evaluation, Our Psychiatric Residency Program has 100% participation in the American Psychiatric Association. The program accepts only 10 Residents out of over 1000 applications each year for its rigorous four-year theoretical clinical training program, producing highly sought after medical Psychiatrists.

Bergen Regional Medical Center is fully accredited by The Joint Commission and has earned their Gold Seal of Approval. Our hospital has consistently met all state and federal licensing standards, and Our Long Term Care Division has achieved the distinction of meeting 15 Advisory Standards under the New Jersey Department of Health, in 2006.

We proudly serve Bergen County and the surrounding tri-state area. BRMC is committed to building and maintaining partnerships that strengthen our community. We support many local organizations by providing them access to our campus for meetings and special events, hosting many support groups such as: NA, AA, MS, and Diabetes. BRMC is one of the state’s leading providers of charity care, continuing our important safety net role for Bergen County.
